... and suddenly everything feels alright! We bought Rory his first pair of shoes at the weekend as now winter is really upon us feet get quite cold in just socks. The shopping experience wasn't too bad even though it was last thing on a Sunday and the place was closing. You pick a ticket and wait. A helpful person measures your child's feet and ensures you have the proper fit.
As it was Rory's first pair of shoes the girl serving us took a Polaroid (of course now digital!) and put it in a nice little card.
And then the unpleasant part.... after parting with not an insignificant amount of cash for something so small they told us those should last 6-8 weeks! SIX TO EIGHT WEEKS....!
Oh well we had better make sure he does lots of walking!
Rory's happy though as he can now walk outside too!

New Website
After being inspired by my blogging brother and a bit of encouragement from Diana, I decided to resurrect the website that had languished un-updated for a very long time. So I have registered the domain name JonAScott.com and subscribed to Apple's Mobile Me service and voila! The plan is to upload photos and videos of the children to keep in contact better with our now wide spread family in Canada, France, Guernsey, New Zealand and Sweden.I'll from time to time put bits and pieces of news and other musings on this blog (blog.jonascott.com) so subscribe to the RSS feed if you are of a nerdy disposition or add to your bookmarks or click follow to stay in touch.
To get started I've uploaded a video of Rory perfecting his first steps. He's come a long way since 6th November and he's now walking the length of the room. Crawling is still faster for him and he's realised that you don't fall over some much!
Happy reading
Jonathan
